Today, Thursday, the annual job fair of the Wirtschaftsverbund Stetten a.k.M., organised by local EP: retailer Oliver Neusch, took place in the Alemannenhalle of the Stetten school centre. 22 well-known companies and businesses from the region presented their house and job opportunities.
The job exchange serves the pupils from Stetten to orientate themselves in their choice of career and to inform them about regional businesses and companies. It also offers the opportunity to get internships or apprenticeships and is not least a valuable help for companies in acquiring suitable future employees.
The event started at 1.30 p.m. with a short welcome of all participating companies and all students in the cube courtyard of the school, before several groups from learning levels 8 and 9 were able to explore the stands and offers.
Each participant designed the company presentation themselves. The learning partners had received a work assignment in advance from their WBS teacher Mrs. Zwick, through which they were able to establish initial contacts with the companies: each had to complete two "speed-dating" sessions at different stands and take notes on them, which would later be discussed in the WBS lessons (business, career and study orientation).
All in all, everyone was enthusiastic about the extensive offer and the stimulating initial discussions on site.
