School enrolment ceremony of classes 1

Yesterday, 67 first-graders celebrated their big day of enrolment at the Stetten a.k.M. primary school, which now has five classes for the first time. First of all, everyone came together for an ecumenical service in the Catholic Church of St. Mauritius, before Principal Dr. Christof Probst welcomed both pupils and parents in the Alemannenhalle.

"I've been a teacher for a long time now and I've got to know the seriousness - sometimes it's a bit annoying," Probst humorously emphasised the importance of the start of school. "But you don't need to be afraid. You should be especially happy because you will learn to count, write and read and you will have great teachers!

Classes two then performed the play "Der Löwe, der nicht schreiben konnte" (The Lion Who Couldn't Write) by Martin Baltscheit under the direction of the primary school team before everyone gathered for the photo session (cover photo: Class 1e by Mrs Gscheidle). Afterwards, the ABC pupils experienced their very first lesson and were able to explore the premises of the school centre in a guided tour of the school.

Andrea Ruda informed the parents in a thematic lecture about the focal points in the core subjects Mathematics and German, before everyone gathered for a cosy chat with cake and cold drinks, prudently hosted by learning partners of learning group 10.

"The children really enjoyed it," says Salome Maute with satisfaction, underlining the success of the event.

We wish all newcomers a great start to a successful school career!
