Educational partnership of the Stetten a.k.M. School Centre with Sparkasse Pfullendorf-Meßkirch

Article by Gerd Feuerstein

With the clear objective of "in-depth career orientation for pupils", the Stetten school centre and the Sparkasse Pfullendorf-Meßkirch entered into an educational partnership last Wednesday. Although the local school centre and the financial institution have been working together successfully for a long time, the close cooperation was now also officially sealed with the signing of a cooperation agreement.

Rector Christof Probst began by expressing his delight that the vocational education system at the Stetten school centre had been put on a completely new footing in recent months. Probst left no doubt that this was due to the "very special commitment of Jessica Zwick", which the teacher has shown in addition to her actual area of responsibility: "In the meantime, we are really much better positioned," said the headmaster. He is all the more pleased that Jessica Zwick's commitment has now led to concrete cooperation agreements. Today, the already good cooperation with the Sparkasse will be put on a solid basis, from which the school centre and especially its eighth and ninth graders will benefit.

Regional Director Martin Henkenius also emphasised this. In the presence of Stetten's branch manager Manfred Kohl, he let it be known that the savings bank in the Pfullendorf-Meßkirch area maintains such cooperations with almost all schools. Job application training at schools has always been part of the repertoire offered by the Sparkasse. Up-to-date information on "everything to do with accounts" or on "online banking" has also become standard. Jessica Zwick made it clear that this was very well received by the pupils, using the example of a lesson that the local head of the Sparkasse, Manfred Kohl, had recently given to the eighth graders: "The whole thing was very action-oriented," she said, and had been demonstrated in practice on the whiteboard and tablets using a connected mobile phone. Afterwards, the pupils were "blown away" by this, which was ultimately also shown in "very good performance tests", emphasised Jessica Zwick, before Principal Christof Probst and Regional Director Martin Henkenius officially sealed the cooperation agreement with their signatures.
