Every year, the Baden-Württemberg Youth Foundation awards the Baden-Württemberg Youth Education Prize for exceptional projects by pupils who address a socially relevant problem and offer creative, sustainable solutions. This year, the top prizes went to a method for improving indoor air quality and the establishment of a media consultation hour for senior citizens.
The ambitious project of school social worker Tobias Buck, the International Youth Club Stetten, was also among the participants and received a certificate for its commitment.
The IYC was founded last year and is aimed at new pupils of the school centre who speak little to no German. The club members are all multilingual and can help the newcomers get off to a difficult start in integrating the school community by offering various forms of help as well as breaking down language barriers.
