Handball Primary School Action Day

Children get to know handball

(Report: TSV) The Handball Primary School Action Day of the German Handball Federation (DHB) took place this year for the first time nationwide together with all its regional associations and with around 200,000 children from over 2,200 schools. In Baden-Württemberg, this action day has now been held for the twelfth time. On Friday, 18 November 2022, the time had come and it was "big fight day" at the primary schools. The organisation of this sports event in the Alemannenhalle for the second graders of the school centre Stetten am kalten Markt and the neighbouring primary school Schwenningen was in the hands of the handball department of TSV Stetten am kalten Markt.

Around 60 pupils had the opportunity to get to know the sport of handball through various forms of play (bouncing handball, tower ball and dice ball). They were able to demonstrate their team spirit and, above all, develop a lot of joy in movement and handball. In the official handball game badge of the German Handball Federation - the Hanniball Pass - they were able to test their personal skills and had to complete five exercises spread over the morning, which test and simultaneously train the children's coordinative, technical and athletic skills. The exercises included the areas of: Throwing and catching, coordination, speed, target throwing and bouncing. Finally, the 7m throwing was on the programme.

Before the children went into the well-deserved weekend after a sporty morning with lots of fun, the award ceremony was held by Konrektor Jürgen Lebherz. He presented the children with the Hanniball passport with gold, silver or bronze rank according to their achieved points. Adrian Dreher was the best on this day and was the only one to achieve the necessary number of points for the gold rank. In addition to the Hanniball passport, all children received a handball rule book, sweets, a stamp and a rubber ball.

The organisers hope that many children will have found joy in playing handball, come to the Alemannenhalle for "taster training" and thus strengthen and enrich the handball teams.
